What is considered a clear line of sight for 5GHz wireless broadband?

The line of sight to the 5GHz wireless broadband transmitter needs to be totally clear and unobstructed in a radius, of about a thumb width at the end of an outstretched arm, around the transmitter.

Top, bottom left and right sides of the transmitter must all be totally clear of any trees, branches or obstructions of any type.

Any obstruction of the line of sight will depreciate the signal quality.
