I think my router may have reset, what do I do?

Occasionally a modem/router may reset to factory default settings.

This often happens as a result of a local power fluctuation but can be caused by a variety of other events.

If you use a wireless home network your devices will not be able to find your normal network SSID but instead you can see a network called something similar to:

  • HUAWEI-B315-????
  • HUAWEI-B525-????
  • B818_????

Your modem should still be working but you may need to reconnect your WiFi devices using the Password (or WiFi Key) on the manufacturers label on the bottom of the modem.

If you usually use a custom WiFi name and or password your modem/router will have this reconfigured before you can connect again. If you need assistance reconfiguring your modem/router please contact our technical support staff on 0800 NETSPEED (0800 638773).
