I think the router may have reset to factory default settings, what do I do?

Occasionally a modem/router may reset to factory default settings.

This often happens as a result of a local power fluctuation but can be caused by a variety of other events.

If you use a wireless home network your devices will not be able to find your normal network SSID but instead you can see a network called something similar to:

  • HUAWEI-B315-????
  • HUAWEI-B525-????

Your modem/router may need to be reconfigured before you can connect again.

  • To reconfigure a Huawei B315 modem showing the HUAWEI-B315-???? SSID please contact our technical support staff.
  • To reconfigure a Huawei B525 modem showing the HUAWEI-B525-???? SSID please contact our technical support staff.
